1000 Chickens

A promising start to the Chicken farm

It’s an answer to prayer! After years of prayer and months of building chicken houses, the dream is finally being realized – the first 1000 chickens from Dayspring Chicken farm will hit the Copperbelt markets next week (April 2012).

We are grateful to God for the wonderful effort of Neil and Tendai Rabey through the Church on the Rock, Guernsey for facilitating initial seed-funding support from the Government of Guernsey to help kick-start the project. For your prayer:

The farm now urgently needs a 10 ton truck for transporting both chicken feed and dressed chickens from and to the markets.

We will also need to sink a borehole to provide a reliable water supply to the farm.

Dayspring Ministries International is led by its founders Dr Joseph and Lillian Mwila.

Dayspring Ministries was formed to foster Church growth and realise the real life changing benefits of the Christian message for the people of Zambia. Dr Joseph has established an international reputation as an Apostolic leader in the Church. In 2009 Joseph, Lillian and the Churches they lead were accepted into fellowship with the New Frontiers world wide family of Churches. With continued growth and the release of members and leaders into different localities Dayspring Ministries now has responsibility for a number of growing Churches

In 2003 Lillian Mwila took a significant step forward in starting to care for orphan and poor children on the streets of Kitwe. The Dayspring Streetlife Project was born from this work and with support from Churches and other charitable organisations in Europe, has grown to provide care, life skills and educational opportunities for both boys and girls.
